Editor, Classic Military Vehicle

Do you know your Willys from your Hotchkiss? Could you spot a Panzer IV at 1,000 metres? Do you have a passion for green metal, firepower and mud? If you can answer yes to all three questions, then you just might be the person we need to edit Classic Military Vehicle magazine (CMV).

John Carroll, editor of CMV and Classic Land Rover is looking to reduce his monthly workload, so we need someone to take over the reins on CMV and continue the excellent work he’s put in building the magazine into Britain’s leading military vehicle brand.

We are seeking an Editor to continue building the title using both new contacts in the military vehicle world and the established team of freelance writers that have made CMV the recognised authority in its field. You will work closely with Key Publishing’s in-house design and advertising teams to maintain our current standards, engage with our existing fans and ensure that CMV continues to thrive in a competitive market.

Based at Key Publishing’s offices in Stamford, Lincolnshire, this is a full-time role creating engaging, high-quality content to tight monthly deadlines and on all aspects of the military vehicle scene.

The successful candidate will be bursting with ideas and will almost certainly be a military vehicle enthusiast. Who knows, you may even own a classic of your own. It is a challenging and demanding role, but the rewards include massive job satisfaction and the chance to ride in, on and around some of the finest military vehicles around.

Ideally, you will already be an experienced journalist with an understanding of regular production schedules within a small editorial team, but candidates without this background who can demonstrate excellent potential will be considered.

This is an outstanding opportunity to join Europe’s foremost specialist leisure magazine publisher. Benefits include a highly competitive salary, 25 holiday days per year plus a company pension scheme.

To apply, please send a full CV and covering letter explaining why you are the right person for the job to:
