The Tank Museum is encouraging families to spend Father’s Day at the facility this June 16.
The museum said it had the best selection of gifts and has even teamed up with a family favourite to produce Tank Museum Cluedo.
Early on a warm summer’s day in Bovington, staff arriving for work at The Tank Museum make a gruesome discovery. Their long serving and beloved curator has been murdered!
Choose between being the historian, guide, cleaner, shop manager, mechanic or librarian, and move between the museum’s exhibitions to see if the curator was killed by the Mark IV, TOG II, M4A4 Sherman, Tiger 131, T-72, or Challenger 2.
Tank Museum Cluedo is an all-new board game that combines the fast-paced gameplay of Cluedo with the iconic Tank Museum in Dorset.
The museum’s shop is also offering model starter kits, ideal gifts for dads who are new to modelling.
Choose from three iconic World War Two vehicles; the famous German Tiger 1, the renowned Russian T-34/76 and the popular British Churchill.
By purchasing a Model Starter Kit, customers save 20% on the individual price of each items.
Alex Medhurst, Head of Commercial Operations said: “Struggling to think of what to get for dad this Father’s Day? The Tank Museum’s shop has some great and very thoughtful gift ideas. Whether it’s the all new Tank Museum Cluedo, model kits, books on armour or even gift memberships, we’ve got you covered.”
The museum is Europe’s only supplier of the highly detailed ‘Tiger 1 and Sturmtiger’ book, with 168 pages and over 400 photographs and illustrations of every detail of these vehicles; it is a go-to buy for anyone with an interest in German World War Two armour.
There’s also the option of becoming a Friend of The Tank Museum giving your dad free entry to The Tank Museum (excluding special events), 20% off entry for up to three accompanying guests, a tri-annual copy of Tracklink Magazine, 10% discount in the museum shop and restaurant, three free visits to the archive and reference library per year, 10% off special events, lectures and selected experiences, and an annual Friends of The Tank Museum day at the Museum.
