A D-Day Commemorative Convoy took place in June across Hampshire and Berkshire. The convoy of historic military vehicles replicated the journey General Dwight Eisenhower took on June 5, 1944 to visit troops based at the American airfield at Greenham Common, (USAAF Station 486), Berkshire hours before D-Day.

The convoy travelled from former D-Day HQ Southwick Park, Hampshire, (now MOD Southwick) on June 22, via Wickham, West Meon, Alton, Lasham, Basingstoke, Kingsclere, Greenham Common to Newbury.

Photographer Lee Sainsbury of Oxygen Photography (www.oxygenphotography.co.uk) joined the group and supplied us with some images from the day.
